Packaging and Circular Economy

We are aware of the environmental impact associated with the use of packaging. For this reason, Euromed Pharma Services promotes the circular economy by using recycled packaging and reusing the materials provided by our clients.

Recycled packaging: Euromed Pharma Services’ branded packaging is made of at least 80% recycled material.

Paper reuse: we reuse the paper received from clients for shipments, thereby reducing environmental impact and optimising packaging material costs.

Renewable Energy and Emissions Reduction

In 2023, Euromed Pharma Services made significant progress in improving energy efficiency and reducing CO₂ emissions.

Photovoltaic systems: two new photovoltaic installations were set up in Pozzuoli and Grezzago, contributing to the generation of renewable energy and reducing greenhouse gas emissions.

Responsible Disposal

To reduce the environmental impact associated with waste, Euromed Pharma Services adopts responsible disposal policies. Waste from medicines and products is carefully managed in compliance with applicable regulations, with a preference for recovery solutions.

Certifications and Quality Standards

Euromed Pharma Services adopts international standards of excellence to ensure the quality and sustainability of its services. Key certifications include: 

  • ISO 9001:2015 – Certificazione che attesta l’adozione di un Sistema di Gestione per la Qualità, con l’obiettivo di soddisfare costantemente le esigenze dei clienti e rispettare i requisiti normativi. 
  • ISO 13485:2016 – Certificazione che attesta l’adozione di un Sistema di Gestione per la Qualità specifico per la gestione dei dispositivi medici. 
  • ECOVADIS – Euromed Pharma Services has obtained a sustainability badge from EcoVadis with a rating of 63/100.
    This recognition reflects the quality of the company’s sustainability management system and demonstrates a strong commitment to promoting ethical, environmental and socially responsible practices across the entire value chain. With this score, Euromed Pharma Services ranks in the top 35% of companies assessed by EcoVadis, earning the Bronze medal.

Joining the SBTi Project

From September 2025, Euromed Pharma Services is joining the Science Based Targets initiative (SBTi), a global programme that helps companies set emissions‑reduction targets in line with the latest climate science. Our company commits to reduce absolute scope 1 and scope 2 GHG emissions 58.8% by 2034 from a 2024 base year, and to measure and reduce its scope 3 emissions.
